Jack Tottle bluegrass and old time music collection [sound recording], 1940-1976.

Sound recordings of bluegrass and old time music taped from both live and pre-recorded performances. A number of the tapes were made from original 78 rmp discs which have never been re-released. The bulk of the recordings are from the 1950s and 1960s; the balance from the 1940s and 1970s. Recorded by Jack Tottle in numerous locales including the Washington, D.C./Virginia/Maryland area, South Carolina, and in Japan where 76 bluegrass performances by 13 bands were recorded in the 1960s.
